Christian Estrosi, Industry Minister under the French Ministry for the Economy, Industry and Employment, is due to open the Cité de la Cosmétique in the heart of Marseille’s second tax-free zone on Friday, October 16, 2009.
This 4,500 m2 site is also home to the new head office for the national Cosmed network, which covers some 500 companies in the cosmetics industry.
This opening ceremony will also be attended by Jean-Claude Gaudin, Mayor of Marseille and Vice-President of the Senate, Eugène Caselli, President of the Urban Community of Marseille Provence Métropole, Augustin de Romanet, the CEO of Caisse des Dépôts (the French national savings bank), and Professor Jean Pierre Reynier, President of the National Cosmetics Commission (AFSSAPS) and Honorary President of Cosmed.
The Cité de la Cosmétique offers opportunities for involvement by all bodies employed in this sector (companies, laboratories, training organizations, R&D centers, etc.).
